JOGOS DAS DECAPITAÇÕES / THE BEHEADING GAME, it it the most recent feature-film from the multi-awarded brazilian director Sergio Bianchi, which premieres in the competition of Festival do Rio (Rio de Janeiro). This film tells the story of Leandro, a young man frustrated by his job. His master's thesis is on the military dictatorship in Brazil. This takes him on a search for the recently deceased artist Jairo Mendes' and his controversial film The Beheading Game, which was censored by Brazilian authorities in 1973.

Festival do Rio 2013 screens more than 400 films and it's the biggest movie business center (RioMarket) in South America.

The feature film "Embargo" by the Portuguese filmmaker António Ferreira, inspired by a story by José Saramago, is nominated for the great prizes of the Brazilian Academy of Cinema. The film includes the selection of fiction feature films candidates for the Grand Prix Brazilian Cinema.

"It is certainly a source of pride and consequence of the investment we made in promoting film in Brazil, which passed the selection in the two major festivals (Festival do Rio and Mostra de São Paulo), and culminated with the premiere in theaters Brazil last December" he added. According to António Ferreira, this recognition "gives way" to their own productions "in this huge and highly competitive market", which is Brazil.

News Agency Lusa said that his production company - Persona Non Grata Pictures - starts in April another production in Brazil, "the next film of one of Brazil's most respected filmmakers," Sergio Bianchi, entitled "Charisma Idiot / Carisma Imbecil" to be shot in São Paulo. "Embargo" is nominated for awards in all categories, artistic and technical. In addition to the appointment of the film, director, António Ferreira, and the main actors, Filipe Costa and Cláudia Carvalho, are indicated "supporting actors" Pedro Diogo, Jose Taborda and Fernando Raposo.

The PNG Pictures has just shoot the next film by Antonio Ferreira. An order of Guimarães Capital of Culture 2012, "POSFÁCIO AT THE CLOTHING FACTORY" is a burlesque satire starring the actor Pedro Diogo, as well as the actresses Custódia Gallego and Cleia Almeida among others.
The film will debut in 2012 in Guimarães in the Capital of Culture.

Zed Filmes - Curtas e Longas has changed its name to Persona Non Grata Pictures - PNG Pictures.
The alteration of the name went along with the facilities changeover that is now at Casconha, Cernache.

Internationalization it is the main goal of Persona Non Grata.

EMBARGO it's the new feature film directed by António Ferreira, an adaptation from the nobel prize winner - José Saramago. This co-production between Portugal, Spain and Brazil, produced by Persona Non Grata Pictures, will have it's first public screening at the Fantasporto 2010 International Film Festival in Portugal, on the 3rd of March 2010.

On the film's main role we find the actor Filipe Costa, with a memorable perfomance, along with other actors such as Cláudia Carvalho, José Raposo, Pedro Diogo, Fernando Taborda.

In the words of the director António Ferreira, "EMBARGO is a dramatic comedy, or a drama told with a strong sense of humour...", since it approaches a serious matter with irony.

Debut on Doclisboa 2009, by official selection,  documentary "Football Causes" of Ricardo Martins, produced by Persona Non Grata Pictures.

Football With a Cause represents the outset of April's Revolution and the way students rebeled themselves against the Regime and stired up a people silenced by censure, gagged by PIDE and crying Ultramar's deaths. On gridirom student's Academica was the most visible face of values and convictions of a people who was unaware of the academic's traverse. Each kick on the ball was a kick on regime.

Ricardo Antunes Martins makes us see an untold version about "Briosa" based on academic crisis and the role carried out by Académica's football players. The actors of this movie are them historical protagonists, inside and outside of the field, and highlight to Alberto Martins, president of the Academic Association of Coimbra on 1969, Celso Cruzeiro, associative ruling, the football players Mario Wilson, José Belo and the brothers Mário and Vítor Campos.

The premiere screening is scheduled to tuesday, 20th October, 21h30, with repetition on 24th October, on Cinema S. Jorge at Lisbon, on ambit of Doclisboa festival.

The internationally prizewinning short film "IT WASN'T GOD'S WILL" directed by António Ferreira and produced by Persona Non Grata Pictures, will debut on movie theathers on 15th October, as well as the film "THE DAY OF THE SKIRT", played by Isabelle Adjani.

It Wasn't God's Will is based on dramatization of the verses of the popular song LAURINDINHA. It is the story of RAMIRO, a young boy who leaves to war; of his return and of the mismatch with the love of his life - LAURINDINHA.

Now, the short film arrives to the portuguese audience on a commercial circuit, after its participation on more than 30 international festivals and the winning of 13 prizes (2 prizes from the audience).

The film will initially be displayed at:

OPORTO: Arrábida Shopping and Dolce Vita

Starts this August the shooting of the next feature film from the director António Ferreira, entitled "EMBARGO", an adaptation from the literature Nobel prize - José Saramago. This film will have on the leading roles the actors Filipe Costa, Cláudia Carvalho and Pedro Diogo. Premiere should happen in the first half of 2010.
